Hello - we are back from Houston and everything went great! Bloodwork was good and CT was clear. The only 'area of concern' was on the PET scan. There was a small area that showed up between the chest cavity and lungs BUT, I happened to pull a muscle right in that area the Friday night before we left for Houston packing the car. It hurt so bad Friday night I almost took a pain pill. So after I explained to the Dr what I did we decided that was probably it. Did I freak - YES!!! I am still a little, but after researching what a PET scan can pick up and having my Dr said explain that any type of inflammation can be picked up on a PET as an 'area of concern' I am not going to worry. (Well, that would be a lie because every little ache and pain I worry it is cancer!!)

So thank you everyone for your prayers and happy thoughts!! Life is great again!!

I am just exhausted...in a 2 1/2 week period I have had a 'well women's exam (yuck), a colonoscopy, a mammogram, 3 different bloodworks, a CT, a PET, and a chest X-ray. GEEEZ! Talk about violated!

    Wonderful
Sounds like you got some wonderful news, congratulations. Now if you have any money left after going to Houston and getting all that done, go out and celebrate, treat yourself to something nice, you deserve it. Take care - Tina

    Linda,

So thrilled to hear about your fabulous results! I am sure you are exhausted from all that prodding and probing. Get some rest and then celebrate! I sure hope my David does as well at MDA as you did!

I've been thinking about you and am absolutely delighted to know all went well. Those inflamations do show up on the pet scans so nothing to worry about at all! We are headed to Houston Wed. for pre-surgery scans.

    Hugs from San Antonio!

    Extra Attention
Some folks would pay extra for that kind of attention. I'm glad things are looking up. Enjoy your spring and summer.

Great news Linda. You're awesome!!! Man that's a lot of tests in a short period of time. I bet you do feel violated. But it sounds like all you have to heal is a pulled muscle. That's great. Give your kid another big hug.

    Great!
That's great, Linda! Good news is fabulous! I'm sorry you feel violated, but it's part of the game, isn't it? And I'd rather be checked thoroughly instead of having a cursory exam that might miss something.

I'm so glad you got good news!

    *hugs*

    So happy
    Linda,

So happy for you and your family. Go give your beautiful daughter an extra long hug and a great big kiss from us.

Hope you are enjoying tax season! ;) (My husband runs a tax department for a $4 billion company and has been coming home every night after 11 pm for about 4-5 weeks as they get their 10k ready.) Taxes are no fun.
