Question about K-RAS

Yes
I don't know everything about the gene but if you have a mutant gene you will not respond to the drug Cetuximab ( Erbitux) If you are negative or I have heard wild used also you can take this drug and it should be effictive. There is a guy on here his name is Phil that had good results with this drug. So it is a good thing you have another option if the other drugs aren't working. Good luck Paula -
good
If you're negative for the kras mutation, that means you're kras wild type. Erbitux and Vectibux are the drugs affected by kras. If you're negative for kras, then these drugs can be used for you. If you had the kras mutation (as I do), then these drugs would be ineffective for your treatment.

Thank you all for your response. So far I am responding well to the Folfox treatment with Avastin. I have two more treatments left and I am praying hard for a clean scan.
