Pet Scan Results
Debbiejeanne: Pet scans can show a lot of false readings or so called hot spots. In other words show something that could be nothing. My first pet scan revealed a hot spot in my stomach area where the feeding tube was. A later CT scan revealed some activity in my liver. At that time they wanted to do a liver biopsy which I declined. Do not get overly alarmed with scans, especially pet scans until they are absolutely sure something is there. I personally will not have another pet scan. I completed chemo and radiation in February of 07 and I am now almost three years cancer free. God Bless and hang in there. -
