Going in for pet scan this month. Stopped chemo in Nov. Been feeling great until the past week. I'll be feeling fine one minute then this really bad feeling (physical) will come over my body. Kinda starting in my stomach and almost like nausea but not. Hard to explain, but just a terrible feeling. I know its not alot to go on but has anyone else had this experience?

Could it be scanxiety about going in for the scan?
-p
Thought about that phillieg, this is something definatly physical. Its wierd. I absolutely feel great one second and then the next I feel like my whole body is sick. It lasts for about 10 minutes then goes away. It seems to be getting more frequent. Not sure whats going on. Very Vague symptoms. -

Zen, what day is your PET? I'll add you to my prayer list. Wishing you only good reports and that this feeling quickly pass!

Litttle worried
I get something like that too. I found if I eat a little something close to when I take my medications for blood pressure and cholesterol it decreases. Do you take any meds that could do this to you too? If so try to get a little something in your stomach when you take them. Hope you get to feeling better, and that your scans are fine.

scan coming up too
Hi Zenmonk,
Have you talked to your onc about this feeling? It could be something completely unrelated to cancer or it actually really could be scanxiety. Sometimes anxiety manifests in physical symptoms. I will hope that's what it is and that your scan will come out good. I have my next scan on Feb. 12, so I definitely know the scanxiety feeling.
Do some deep cleansing breathing any time you feel that & see if it possibly starts to lessen.
Take care-
Lisa
