Frequent need to urinate
I had RP 9 years ago and radiation 6 years ago. From time to time, usually after driving for a couple of hours I develop the constant need to urinate. I can go and still feel the need to urinate as soon as I walk out of the bathroom. The first couple of times I thought it was kidney/bladder infection but now think its some irritation as it is usually ok the next morning. Anyone know what causes it or best thing to do for it?
Thanks for the help

Thanks for the help; I did have lots of blood in urine last year, had cystoscopy, a couple of biopsies, carterized (everything was ok). I was on blood thinners at the time and as soon as I stopped those, everything cleared up. I had more blood than urine (was rather shocking if standing at a public urinal).
The constant urge to urinate happens a couple of times a year and is cleared up by the next day0 -
Frequent urination
I know exactly what you are experiencing. It can be maddening.
My daVinci surgery was about a year ago. Have been taking the supplement -
Pygeum - and I believe this has really helped me. A friend is now starting it
too. I take 100 mg a night. Bought Pugeum online. Really hope you'll get
relief as I did.0 -

Frequent Urination
January 13, 2010 I completed my 43rd and hopefully last radiation treatment. About halfway through my treatments I started getting this frequent and urgent uribation problem. My Oncologist precribed Megestrol and told me to cut out all coffee and tea (including green tea). There is some relielf but not complete. This may work better for you.0 -

I had brachytherapy in January of 2008 and experienced the same problem for a few months as well as the urgent need to have a bowel movement on occasion.
Everything calmed down until a few month ago and then started up again. My oncologist says it not "usual" but it does happen. I will be getting a urinalysis soon to see if it's caused by an infection. I don't understand how you can have a urinary infection for months on end but maybe that's the way that stuff works if it's untreated. If it's not a urinary infection well.......
Last PSA a few months ago was 0.8 ~ doctor says that's fine because I still have a prostate and it will continue to produce PSA as long as it's in there.
