FINALLY a follow-up colonoscopy!!!!

I have been jumping through hoops to get this colonoscopy for six months! It looked like it wasn't going to happen, but i guess i bitched enough to finally get some results because they called a few minutes ago, and it's scheduled for FRIDAY!! I don't even have the golytly yet, but hey, i'm not complaining. The only thing is, they wouldn't let me have a new doctor. I'm going to have to get downright nasty with this guy this time. We've had a tumultuous relationship since the first time we met. He dilated me without any anesthesia, and it felt like a public rape.
After seeing him four times, he never once gave me the colonoscopy because i was so strictured, there was still waste up there. He never bothered to clean me out and proceed with the colonoscopy. This time, he's going to have to, or i'm going to the state medical board. I've been doing that a lot lately. I'm not going to let these doctors get away with shortening our lives because they don't want to get their hands dirty.
This will be the first colonoscopy i've had since diagnosis back in 2007. Since there is bleeding and abdominal pain, i'm wondering what they're going to find?
I will let you guys know as soon as i do. Keep your fingers crossed!
Hugs,
Krista

Go get 'm!
Good for you for holding the course and getting the procedure you want and need.
I don't understand doctor's who don't seem to care about their patients concerns and comfort. Maybe they need a career change. You mention 'they' won't let you have a new doctor...who are 'they'...the insurance company? Do they know of your complaints? Never hesitate to take unresolved compalints to the TOP, wherever that is. After all, it is your health as risk.
Keeping fingers and toes and anything else I can crossed that the procedure goes well and no serious problems are found.

Krista!
Hi Krista,
I'm glad to see your post- you've been missed!
Also am glad that you have your colonoscopy scheduled. Stay tough and follow through with any reporting you need to do, but I'm hoping that it won't be needed and that all will go well.
Take care and keep in touch here!
