New TX plan/Onc thoughts...
My oncologist is such a nerd that his pocket protector was surgically implanted at birth. He isn't usually hopeful or discouraging, just level-headed and concise. So what he said to me meant a lot. For those who don't know, I've progressed on all approved cc protocols and was successful on one that isn't. He said, "You just need to outlast the cancer. One of you will give up first, just don't let it be you. You can do this, just keep being persistent."
Outlast, Outwit, Out Play. (OK, so I stole that one! hehehe) But isn't that it? The secret? Some can't do it. The cancer is too strong and they are just too sick. Somehow, though, this inspires me. I've been in negotiations - we have to figure out how to coexist, this cancer and I. If I die, so does it.
Now I'm not sure that is the right answer for me. I think I'm going for the Outlast, Outwit, Out Play. Oh no, my onc was right again! Seems to happen every time!

Jennie,
Thanks for the kind words. Yes, I always have a plan and have the next plan in order along the way. The 'staying alive' made me think of the Bee Gees...that sure makes me feel old! lol That is good. Old is a good, good thing. As a matter of fact, I aspire to it! Thanks for that.
You're the best,

I hope the idea makes you "soar like an eagle"! I don't want to be the sole surviver...I want to bring you ALL along with me! Let's shoot for that.

Plan
So glad that you have another plan that you are going on. Hoping that this 5FU helps take that cancer all away. Not sure what that type of radiation is but hopefully that will shrink it too. Funny about the pocket protector and glad that he is honest and upfront with you. That is important. Hope you get to feeling better soon.
Hugs! Kim0 -

Kimby,
I hope that you have great results with your new treatment. I really enjoyed reading your about me page. It is amazing how you have fought the battle and made having fun your focus. I'm also really impressed how you reached out to other people to support them. I can't even imagine how many people you have helped. I live in a small rural area and there are no support groups in my area. Good luck with your new treatment. Brenda0 -

I'm glad you know what your next step is and have kept up your fighting spirit!0
