Hi Peggy, I am also stage
Hi Peggy, I am also stage IV, diagnosed on March 17, 2009. in December my tumor markers jumped up to 42.7 (low this summer was 17, high when diagnosed 77). Last week I had a pet scan and a bone scan to explain the jump. I relate to your fears. Maybe they can shoot your hip with radiation? My mets are widespread in my bones. Was in my liver, totally clear now and my breast tumor is also gone! But sadly its still in my bones. Please keep us posted!!

Sorry for your situation. Having a good oncologist is a critical factor in your treatment and you are in good care, that will help you. Low WBC is a reason why you cannot continue Taxotere. We have several members of this board who were diagnosed with stage IV and now in remission. I am sure they will get in touch with you. Please stay connected and come here for support.

I know how you feel
Hi Peggy,
I had bc in 2003, surgery, chemo etc. I had recurrance in June 2009, surgery, chemo. I just had PET scan in January 2010 and it showed two new bone mets so I know how you feel. I thought I had beat it again but it just keeps coming. It's frustrating when you do everything you are suppose to and it doesn't work, but don't lose hope. I have good days and bad as well. If you need to talk please feel free to email me.
