No chemo again!

And it has been good. Was at church this morning counting the offering with another volunteer. So obviously I am not at West Penn Medical Short Stay getting my treatments!!
Went to lab yesterday before church and had CBC and platelets were still too low. At 85,000 (last Tuesday 80,000) I cannot have chemo. My onc/gyn requires 95,000 for chemo and 3 for White count.
So even with 3 more Neumega shots (wed-fri cannot have anymore 48 hours before chemo) it only went up 5,000. I know that this week off my platelets will go up the other 10,000 or more on its own. Now the white count will start going down b/c the Neulasta is only good for 2 weeks! I will give myself at least 2 Neupagen to keep it up for this weekend's blood test.
Anyone else have this much problem with their counts! I was to be done the end of this month, but looks like I will be going at least through March. And then she was going to put me on a maintenance program.
Of course now the CA125 is starting to go up. I will not have another one of those until after I get treatment 6A&B completed.
Never a dull moment is there??

Libby ♥☺♥☺

Company!!BonnieR said:all the time
Hey Libby, I hope misery likes company as this happens quite a bit, but it does depend on what type of chemo I am on. Some are worse than others. Hope the get up to the bar in the next week and you can get back on track. Hugs Bonnie
Did you say company? I would love to have you for company!! Still planning on being in Minn, of course we missed the wedding, but planning on going to Jerry's sister's sometime in July.
I hope to be ready for chemo next week too!! Guess we both have weakened bone marrow?? Or whatever.....☺
Love you,

None for me
I seem to recover so far but have not had as much as you, maybe. I will see one of the Dallas gyn/onc this afternoon for his opinion on my gut that continues to be sore and ache when standing. I do hope he orders a ct scan before we get on that cruise ship the 4th. Would hate to have to cancel this late in the game though. Did I say that I am sitting on pins and needles? My CA 125 stayed the same this last month at 158 and I think at least some of that my be the diverticulitis in Jan and the cold I had in Dec. I am not worried about the CA 125 numbers for some reason.
Sure admire you going through all you do to get a treatment. What a strong lady you are.

Platelets
This happened to me throughout my treatment. I was put on once a week from a 28 day cycle but that was still too much for my body. I had the shots and a transfusion. Chemo is so strong it kills the good as well as the bad. I had my last treatment the end of october. I was due for two more weeks but couldn't have them. I waited and went back every week and still too low for chemo. I had a PET scan done and they couldn't detect any cancer. My doc still wanted to give me the last 2 rounds but my body couldn't take it. I just went to doc yesterday and my CA125 count was 18. So I'm done with everything for at least 3 more months. I take alkalizing supplements and they have helped shrink the tumors. My doc didn't want me taking them but I had such great results I kept taking them anyway. -

During my initial carbo/taxol chemos last year, the final 3 rounds were all like that. I'd go in after 3 weeks for another infusion and my counts wouldn't be good enough. I'd get a transfusion, wait a week, and try again. The 6th round I was delayed twice for low platelets, then they lowered my chemo dose to 80% strength, and even with my low counts, let me get my last round in as long as I came back for Neulasta and a transfusion the next week. It's nerve-wracking, but I think you have to let your body set the pace.
