Hi everyone.I turned 53 today.I used to be all down about turning another year older.But not any more since Cancer.I thank God for another birthday.I am also happy getting away from 52 being the hardest year of my life,fighting Cancer.A better year to come I beleive.My mother died at 52 with Cancer.So when I turned 52 I had a weird feeling about it.How strange I got Cancer the same age my Mom did.Thanks for letting me share this.Have a great day.     Happy Birthday Pat. Hope you can celebrate and do something special. Know what you're saying about your mom having cancer. My mom was dxed at 62 and I breathed a sigh of relief when my own 62nd bd passed. She lived til 70 and now I've been dxed. It really is a strange feeling. I know that if our mom's were alive they would say "your cancer is not mine. You can and will make it." Thanks for sharing your day with us. And may each year be better for you. Best wishes!

    Following a cancer dx, growing older takes on a whole new, more positive meaning, doesn't it? LOL Happiest of Birthdays to you~ cake and champagne all around! Whoo-hooo...celebrate!

    I was diagnosed when I was
    I was diagnosed when I was 52 also (back in 2003). I don't recall that year fondly at all. My mom passed away of cancer too but she was 82 (ovarian).

    i wanna wish you a happy birthday and hope this year is a good one for you!! dont worry about things just do what you doing and it will be fine!! my mom was in her late 60s when she got bc and i was 44 and we both are survivors!!! so hang in there and you can do it!!
