First day without my breast

Wow - surgery yesterday and I am happy to say, I'm ok!! I have had 3 surgerys since Dec. 11th. and hope this is the last one! I know I am happy to have the cancer gone, but it was so disappointing that we were NOT able to be successful with lumpectomy. We tried twice to remove the area effected, but no luck. I have been through chemo to try and shrink the tumor (and we did) but not enough. I still have to do radiation, so no reconstruction for me at this time. They say a year before I can do that. Thank goodness for good drugs because I am feeling great this morning!

    hi sharon...what a great attitude...being positive i believe helps with the healing so keep it up...warm thoughts...wendy
