I think if you can stay in the hospital 3 days min. with insurance coverage will be the best. In hospital with Comfortable motorized bed, IV liquid to you body w/o drinking a lot of water, all pain killer can be injected in IV, they check your health condition frequently, give you all medicine per schedule, 1 push button somene will be there to help you get up for walk or go to toilet, drain your urine and side blood suction ball. Hope you house is not too far from hospital.
At home your wife will be busy with you for the first 3 days. After 3 days when you feel little better than go home will be good!
This is my opinion and I'm lucky and happy that doctor let me stay 3 nighs, but I have to ask them. If not, they want to kick me out next day.
