I honestly don't know. I would think if we are told not to have blood pressure taken, shots administered, etc., it wouldn't be a good idea to have the TB test done on that arm. To be safe, check with your doctor. Let us know the outcome.
you're probably right- maybe shouldn't take the chance on having it on that arm.
I have some scarring from old wounds on other arm - sometimes that gets in the way of shots and tests, etc. so I wondered what would happen if I got test on lumpectomy/ lymph nodes removal side.
I read that some dr.s will allow you to get tb test on inner thigh if needed after double mastectomy. -

You are not to have any injections in that arm if you have any lymphodema....it can make your arm swell up and it will stay that way permanently. Use the other arm. If both arms are invollved they may have to use a leg.
never use this arm and breast for shots. You can use any other parts of your body not affected quadrant, -

I was told never to use this arm for anything. No pokes, blood pressure and if you cut yourself make sure you clean the cut very well and watch it. -

You should never get a shot in that arm, have blood drawn or your blood pressure taken there. That arm should always be protected and you should always be careful with it. -

You are never suppose to get a shot in that arm. So, please don't.

Always have everything donetommaseena said:TB
TB tine testing is just under the skin but I would not have it done in the arm that my lymph nodes were taken out.
Margo
Always have everything done in your good arm, not in the one where you had nodes removed.
