Surgery scheduled, ? on latissimus flap

HI!! Saw the plastic surgeon and the main surgeon today, my surgery is scheduled for February 11th, radical mastectomy on the left, simple mastectomy on the right, both ovaries, immediate reconstruction (7 hours)yikes. Surgeon recommended lat flap because of radiation. Says this skin holds up better seemed to be the best plan for me...can any of you sweet wonderful women/men give me some info on the lat flap. THANK YOU :)

    lat flap surgery
    Kari, did you do the lat flap surgery? I am scheduled for that Jan 13, 2011. Any advice you can give me would be great!
