    Tamoxifen
I have also been told that I will need to take Tamoxifen, not there yet. My cousin took it 7-8 years ago and states that she had excessive weight gain. I've read that you can have weight loss or weight gain, I know everyone is different. What's been the effect for some of you?

My onco gave me tamox too,
My onco gave me tamox too, but, I haven't started taking it yet.

    Tamoxifen also
..my Dr gave me no choice as well. I've been on tamoxifen about 3 1/2 months - kind of achey and have hot flashes - but the chemo put me into menopause so the hot flashes are probably a combination of both the med & real menopause. I struggled with deciding because of everything I read. I got alot of support here with others who had the same questions. We all react differently but after chemo/rad/surgery/ whatever we had to deal with - just a breast cancer dx anyway - you are strong and will know what's best for you. Take care and let us know how you're doing.
    much love,
    Jenny
