Hi Bonnie and All,
Thanks for thinking of me Bonnie. I did recently post a few times and did a "shout-out" to you on Dorion's subject of "Calling All Angels." Congratulations again for having the blood counts to qualify for your recent chemotherapy treatment! That was such great news!
As you probably have seen, Hissy_Fitz sent me information on Alimpta, which is also called Pemetrexed. Have you been on that? If not, you might copy the information for your doctor, of course, with your doctor, I'm sure he already knows all about it. He seems to be a trailblazer in the field of oncology.
Well, the latest with me is that I've obviously become resistant to Gemzar/Cisplatin......my marker has been going up for many weeks. I'm suppose to have another cat scan in several weeks and that is always so terrifying for me. How often does your doctor order cat scans for you? I've been getting them almost every two months for the past year and hate getting that much radiation so often. But, then, what are you going to do?
Linda, I was glad to read that you are feeling up to going out and that you feel like you are getting some of your old fight back! Way to go! I know we are all anxious to hear your update from appointments next week. Love and hugs, MM

Where is she?
Hello MM
Where is that woman anyway? I know I hate ct scans too MM. Well as you know sometimes I'm terrified of my own shadow lately...lol....at least MM we all have each other right here pulling for one another. It is comforting to know that we are not alone. So when you go for your ct scan we are right there with you sharing your anxiety, trust me. Thanks for your encouragement. Today was awesome, I finally felt alive and awake, not so tired and dragging my butt around. Went to see Avatar, which was jaw dropping amazing, I couldn't beleive my eyes with the most amazing graphics, I would recommend you guys go and see it, it will take your minds off our troubles for 3 hours. Don't have to be a kid to enjoy this one. I keep trying to shove those damn nagging thoughts away, but man it's hard at times. My nagging one right now is seeing the renal specialist on Tuesday. As I mentioned, if my kidneys aren't in shape treatment isn't an option. So I'm going to try to stay focused and possitive. I hope Bonnie girl comes on here soon. She is a awesome lady, been there for me the last 2 years since I joined this website, this has been my anchor and saving grace. Anyway my Sister I will check in tomorrow. I'm here for you too girl, k? Love to you always.

Hello
I am here reading most days, sometimes I get behind and then just read adn don't post. :-) My oncologist would never do ctscans every 2 months, we are more on a 6 month schedule but not always. I am sure Medicare would not cover this new drug and not sure how much compassionate use they give out. That is where I am at now, compassionate use on most drugs or recycle of drugs they allow (which those on medicare as primary is a limited list). I pray this one works for you as it sounds like you haven't any breaks for awhile either.
Linda, good luck with the renal doc... prayers this all gets resolved for you. I still remember when you joined and were living in Hawaii.. or at least I think it was hawaii. I was just research our Dorion ancestry and boy it was a lot of work but found them all the way back to France.. they are mostly from Montreal. I love the picture of you and your daughter.
Hugs ♥ Prayers
