I will understand.
My husband had Sutent about a year and a half ago. It seems to be the most promising drug or at least the one they try first. If your husband begins to have side effects, please get in touch on the board. I can suggest a few things that helped Don like glutamine powder (natural health food store), mixed with water for a sore mouth. Your doctor will monitor him closely for side effects and there are good antidotes to some. Don got a drug specifically to control his triglycerides and it worked very well; he was able to stop taking it as soon as he went off Sutent so don't worry that once he starts on something like that, he will have to take it forever. Once the drug isn't effecting his system, the tryglycerides will go back to normal.
I hope you have great success with Sutent. So many people do. If it doesn't work as well as the dr. hopes, remember that there are other drugs out there with good track records and a whole lot of research underway to discover more.0 -
