BCG and Interferon treatments

My husband was diagnosed with bladder cancer in 2006 after a biopsy, went through several regiments of the BCG; had second biopsy in 2009 and cancer was back. Our Doctor recommended bladder removal. We went to the Moffit Cancer Center and we discussed our options. The said that their were clinical trials going on with BCG and Interferon (used back in the 90's) but it had a couple of months to go before being approved by the FDA. We are on the roller coaster ride as to what options to take. Has anyone any input into the subject? At present, the cancer is contained in the inner lining of the bladder, and we want to know if there would be other less aggressive proceedures... Please help!!
