Just an update. After the Doxil/trial drug not working for me, actually raising my CA125, was switched to gemzar/carbo. Have both Day 1, then gemzar Day 6 and off Day 15 week. Glad off the Doxil as my hands had started peeling even though was using the Udder Smooth they said to use, they look fine now. Sides not bad with this combo, I take my senna pill and stool softener a couple/three times and that's fine. My big problem with it, it's lowering my blood counts. Got an Aranesp shot to boost my hemo. Had to delay my cycle 2 day 8 for a week. When got the day 8, also got Neulasta shot to boost my whites. Next time in they were fine but hemo only up a little. Then down again, so have had 4 of those shots so far. They say can take 2-6 weeks to start to work and so I'm hoping I'm just slow and it will pick up here as last MOn. was 5 weeks and still at 8.2. I don't feel too bad that I can't do anything, just slower than my normal self. I did get outside for about an hour this afternoon, feed the squirrels and did some clipping of dead lily stems. That felt good to actually do something constructive outside. My good news is this is working for my right now. It has dropped each time, some not much, some more. This last time went from 110 to 46! The dr said that the other lady who was pulled from the Doxil/trial because wasn't working for her, this combo is working for her too. So I guess we just keep trying if one doesn't work, go for another and keep positive to get through them and enjoy things as we can and really enjoy it when we are off, if even for a short time. Hopefully for me it will be longer than the 5 months last time, but what ever, I'll get through it. Wanda
