UP LATE, CAN't SLEEP

You are a strong lady - I know things are rough on you right now - the pressure feels unbearable at times - and I know what's it like to portray one image to people while feeling the exact opposite.
The Unknown is an area I'm familiar with too - anxiety over a new procedure or a new surgery that is new or perhaps cutting edge (DaVinci).
I'm hoping this other test you describe above is "nothing." Perhaps it is just a false/positive or something. It is always something it seems the older we get that we have to wade through.
I'll be looking for your update on your test and sending good thoughts and prayers for peace and calm for you tonight so you can relax with the family on New Year's Eve.
And you know, you've made it another year to see 2010 - and we're starting a new decade. I know I'm ready for a new one, because these last 10-years have just about broken me and Kim.
Hope you're still sleepin'

I hate not being able to sleep
I know the feeling of it never seeming like it's over. Do go ahead and spark one up! I wish I could join you. I find the MJ helps me sleep too, better than ambien (IMO).
You've got a lot going on, stay strong but let loose when you need to. You know we are always here.

Please don't worry too much. About 7 years ago I was called back because of some microcalcifications in my left breast. A closer view still didn't rule things out so I was sent to Dr. Elizabeth Steinhaus in Atlanta. She felt sure they were fine and we checked them every 6 months for 2 years. Now I go yearly but they have never changed one iota. Just my body throwing off a tiny bit of calcium.
I love their practice because they give you your 'happy letter' (Dear Diane, I am happy to inform you... ) right that minute. They have several reknowned radiologist on staff who computer check and all check your films. A letter is printed out and the nurse gives it to you while you wait for a great check up by the doctor. Betsy is a really neat doctor who loves to visit and tells you about her life. Here's her link. Breast Care Specialists of Atlanta0 -

Hopefully it's nothing serious that has lit up on that scan, it's good they call you to come back, just to make sure. You're like me, it always seems like if it's not one thing, it's another...couldn't get a break! that's why I have high hopes for 2010, that this years gonna be a good year.. sing it like the Black-eyed Peas did! instead of "Tonight'a gonna be a good, good night" lets change it too..."This Year's gonna be a good, good year!"
Hugsss!!!

Hang in, Tomarrow will be a good day,
Hey, Patti,
I have ben feeling really down with everything going on in my world that i forgot about those of us who need support, I really hope you can find some peace, This cancer is kicking you pretty hard, I am like you your families cheerleader and believe me you this has been a tough week, Just when my daughter decides she's not leaving, my son starts to act up, and he's 18 so he thinks he is right and we were wrong.
Also my daughter want a dog, really a dog.?
At any rate I went and got good news from my doc's and i will be in surgery on 18 to remove 18" of my colon, recum and such, and with luck attach it all back, I will have a temp ilioscopy for 6 weeks, and then he will reattach that. and then, liver surgery and recover from that. Yeah,
I am really excited about your Sir Spheres proceedure sounds good,
Stay stong, and if you still need a visit from mary, i know her.

Ambien is my friend as well!tootsie1 said:You're not alone
I've been called back on mammograms before, and it's always been okay. I'll be praying that will be the case for you.
*hugs*
Gail
My husband and I both count on Ambien to chase away some of the worries that plague us in the darkness.
I am hoping for healing for you and all of the wonderful folks on this board for 2010.0 -

I hope tonight is better.I have no trouble falling asleep..can just about sleep anywhere. I just wake up in about 4 hrs. Ambien does help if you remember to take early. I usully don't think about it until I wake up. Anyways I think every woman who has a mammogram is called back at one time or another. I have and it was a little fat cell that was nothing. I haven't used MJ (yet) but had it available during chemo for nausea. Do whatever you need to rest your mind.0 -

Patti,
I hope you're sleeping soundly now. So sorry about your worry. I hope you have some help with your family. You have so much going on. Have you looked into the maid service for those fighting cancer?
Best to you and your family.
Aloha,
Kathleen0
