can't decide on what juicer to get- update: I finally decided!
My kitchen appliances are all black and I was noticing the Omega 8003 comes in only white. Maybe a stupid reason for not wanting it, but I was also thinking that a white juicer would look all yucky and stained after a while & that it might not show up on a black one.
Any thoughts or input anyone?

My brother bought me a
My brother bought me a silver bullet, he bought the Jack lalane, my juicer did better than his juicer by far. I have four pieces to clean, it is mostly plastic, silver and black. It is a little noisy but I think they would all be. It extracts alot of juice from my fruits and is not pulpy. He payed 100.00 at costco but I think it was on sale and is usually about 150.00 normally. I juice daily....apples (Organic)can get from Publix, carrots (organic) also from publix a little celery. I tried putting in Kale and it ran right through me, got to work on that one. I will try adding ginger and cabbage next week. I also bought some wheat grass to try. Good luck!! Patti0 -
pls let me know which one you get
I have been eyeing the Omega 8005, so expensive0 -
Omega
Julie,
We have an Omega. So far not staining, but I also wonder about it. We chose it because it is said to have less foaming. A friend has the Champion and she has used it for 10 years! (She had a lymphoma and has been NED for over ten years, she juices every day.) We have not used ours a lot because we got it just when I started chemo and the Dr said no antioxidents during treatment times. They do make a stainless in the omega. I almost got the champion because it is made in USA.
To use the omega juicer you have to chop things up a bit more than the champion, but for me that is not much of a problem.
I don't think you can go wrong with either one.
Best wishes,

Juicer Review
I had a champion. I think these are really the workhorses of the juicer world. However about three years ago I bought the Jack Lalanne juicer. I have been very impressed. It actually goes through the vegetables faster than the champion. I doubt the motor is as strong as the champion but I like it. I actually sold my champion to a friend and just use the Jack Lalanne now.0 -
the champ
hi lisa,
i'd chime in more here but i severely burned my hand (2nd degree)and typing is slow going.
i use my champ everydaay and have for 8 years 4 months. replaced the blade once and only cuz i do a juicing wrkshp at my coop. the company was super nice and did't charge me shipping.
my juicman was harder to cleam imo and not as much juice output.
omega makes a black one i think.
ok. too tired now.

Breville also
Hi,
I have a Breville also and I like it, easy to clean. I was thinking of getting the champion also but may wait a while. I likento juice everyday also! I do carrots, apples, beets, celery, spinach, cabbage, parsley, cucumbers and acai or mangosteen. I mix it up and try to alternate so I'm not doing too much of the same stuff, I had to cut down on carrots too cuz my palms were turning orange.
Enjoy juicing!

The Omega 8005 stainless steel juicer and love it! I try to juice at least 5 days a week, it's depends on how much stuff I can keep in the fridge and cabinets here with 4 kids and hubby! things go fast here.
It's quiet, not too loud, it's fast, you do have to cut up the fruits and veggies, but I don't care, it juices great! the pulp is very dry, and I must say when you take the front apart to clean it, I had to laught because it looked like a dildo, and my hubby just laughed at it when he first saw it, of course he said "Do you know what that looks like??" LOL! I was like "Duh...I thought the same thing" lol...
I been trying to do mostly spinach, parsley, lemon and cilantro with some romaine lettuce, and celery with an apple in it lately, and of course some fruits juices, because of the vitamins I need in there as well. I love the carrot juice, but try not to do it often, because I don't want to turn orange LOL..
I will be trying to find a health store soon, we don't seem to have one here, so I can find some more organic stuff, and maybe a wider variety, they seem so limited in what they sell here in my area.
Have fun juicing! we love it!
Emily! I am so sorry to hear about your hand, what happened? I hope you heal fast, I got burnt on my hands when I was 17 cooking french fries in a daddy frier, I went to drop some oil out of it, forgot to unplug it, and it pulled back on me hot oil ALL over my hands, it was like having the skin melt off my hands! very painful! I hope you feel better soon! I know the pain! UGH!
Hugsss!!

Lisa, let us know what you decide. There are several good choices.
I ran out and bought the Jack LaLanne Power Juicer which I like but I don't think it does leafy green vegetables very well. So I started looking at the masticating juicers like the Omega 8005. I saw a guy on youtube juice 2 packages of spinach to see which one yeilded the most juice and a machine called the Green Star Elite Juice Extractor GSE-5000 Juicer worked the best. It is very expensive but I was impressed with it. I'm curious to know what you decide!0 -
I finally decided and ordered!
Well,
I finally made a decision and went ahead today and ordered a Champion Household Juicer 1000 in black. I got it online through Florence Adams for $208.95 with no tax or shipping costs added on. I almost ordered it through another site for $209.95, but then at checkout I noticed something about their return policy- that returns are only accepted if the product was unused, so I logged out and checked other sites. Florence Adams had it for $1 less (whoopdy-doo), but I went with them because their return policy stated that if you aren't happy with the product, they accept returns up to 30 days from the day you receive the product. Not that I'm expecting to need to return it, but you never know & I like the fact that they're flexible with returns- I'd never want to order a product knowing I couldn't ever return it if needed. What a dumb policy- how would you know if you're happy with it, until you've used it? Then, with the other company, it would be too late to return it. So, I think this will be good & I'm looking forward to getting it delivered soon and to trying it!
Thanks to all of you who shared what juicers you've used! I'll let you know how I like it!
P.S. Emily- I hope that your burned hand is doing better! ouch
