Good Luck!
It's understandable having concern going into surgery - before you know it you will be at the hospital getting into the routine and then it will be time - you are surrounded by friends and family - your surgery will be a success and your recovery will go well. Time does help to heal wounds - I just completed lung surgery about 2 months ago and doing well.
Sending best wishes for a positive outcome!

Hi Craig...
Thanks sooooooooooo much for your words...My tears stopped as I read about your experience, strength and HOPE. You've LIGHTENED up my attitude today--at least for the moment--and the tears have stopped. I'm looking forward to getting some closure with all this anxiety. Today I'm trying to STAY IN THE LIGHT! (See Expressions Gallery) Your blog is very inspiring and I will continue to follow you once I return to the computer. BRAVO!

I'm sending warm hugs...
I was good up to the moment...I said to a scrub nurse "I'm a tiny bit frightened." She put her arms around me, and told me that everything was going to work out...that they would take very good care of me...
The next thing I knew, I was in my room...it was over, and she did, in fact, take care of me...

thoughts and prayers for you right now
Hi Maryjane,
I wish I had read this earlier and had replied before you went into surgery. Not knowing your timezone, you're either still in surgery as I write this or you're in recovery, depending upon how long the surgery was. I'm saying prayers for you right now as I type this and I'll look forward to hearing your update as soon as you're able to get back to a computer again. I'm praying not only for a successful surgery, but for your peace and to not have any fear, and for all doctors and nurses involved in your care to be sensitive, kind, caring, attentive to your needs, and competent!
Blessings to you and here's to a new beginning of being and feeling healthier in 2010!

Praying for excellent results
MaryJane,
I'm sitting here praying that your surgery went very well. Can't wait to hear! I remember when I was going down the hall on the gurney towards my surgery, I just thought,"It's up to you now, God. I've prayed, people have prayed with me, and I can't do anything else now but wait to see what you have in store for me."
*hugs*

Art is Healing
MaryJane,
You are probably already on your way, but I too turn to my art for healing. I am a quilter. My Avatar is the quilt I made to describe my Radiation Experience. It was very cathartic.
I LOVE your hugging carrots! You go girl! And good luck to you today - we're pulling for you.
Many hugs, Vicki0 -
