This piece appeared in today's NY Times. While some of the ideas about the possible causes of cancer progression are disturbing, the knowledge that this conversation is going on within the cancer-research community is, I think, very important.

Wow, some interesting ideas in the article
I liked this quote “Cancer is no more a disease of cells than a traffic jam is a disease of cars,” Dr. Smithers wrote. “A lifetime of study of the internal-combustion engine would not help anyone understand our traffic problems.”
