This is my third week after chemo, so I am much better.
I have an appointment next week with a new onc at the University of Miami Sylvester Cancer Institute. Top notch Medical Team but I have to go downtown Miami to see them and I hate the traffic. I will know more after my appointment. I called my old onc's office and requested they send my records to the new team.

I hope the appointment goes well. As others have said, it is important to feel supported by your oncology team. Even with the traffic - it the care is better, it is probably worth it. I also drive farther to go to the main cancer center here - and I think it has been worth it. My thoughts and prayers are with you!

Pls keep us informed as to how things work out for you. Like Lori said, if the treatment is better, a challenge with traffic is a relatively small inconvenience.

Good luck with your appt. Try to schedule your appts. when the traffic isn't at it's peak. Hopefully they can accommodate you.0 -

I hope you like your new team. you need to feel taken care of. I travel to Boston it is manageable, and I get reasonable appts. I think they are pretty good a bout it and with ALL you have been through I am sure they will be accomodating.0
