the solution is much easier
the solution is much easier than you think ...have the bladder and prostrate removed (prostrate cancer is likely in 90%of men before they die )have an ileal conduit (urostomy) put in and take the appropriate meds when he wants an erection.
he can elect to have a neobladder installed (means no external bag - it's ok for people with enlarged egos) but I would NOT recommend it ..
(I have had a urostomy [external bag] for 20+ years )
If your hubby does want a neobladder ....make both of you talk with at least 2 people that have had a neobladder for at least 2 years and will honestly answer your specific questions about their daily routines. Do the same with 2 people that have had a urostomy
for 2+ years.
In either case, it is a major abdominal surgery and he should not lift anything heavier than a coffee cup for 3 months.
Do this..... and I garantee he will enjoy life as before cancer0 -

If he does not respect the no lift rule ...he will likely never be able to lift anything ever again ....he cannot have it both ways ... fix it properly .....loose 3 months work now ...... or loose the ability to lift anythiing for ever.
he cannot just "tough it out" and work during the recovery period
I sounds like he is the kind of person that will lift before he should .....
so... I am sorry things will not go well
I can lift 150 lbs and i have never had any pain after 6 sugeries0 -
the big thing is he cant miss 3 months work he would loose his job and I am recovering from colon cancer I can't work ever again so if he could he would have something done but right now with the way jobs are he cant lose hisu4art said:If he does not respect the
