Hello everyone,
What a year this has been little did I know my husband would be diagnosed with Cancer at the age of 45, and when he was diagnosed I thought why us, and then our beloved Kitten always said "why not me" then as time went on we discovered it was operable, we went through so much, surgery chemo, mouth sores, grippyness, hatefulness, and loosing our hair. Somedays I just didn't think we could do no more, then one day i thought okay I need some advice and signed on to this site, wow did I ever find excellent friends, I found out so much I didn't like alot of the things people said it scared me, but I listened, then Jeff had surgery was in intensive care for 10 days didn't do well, almost lost him then, then slowly came around and was moved to floor, and then home, never thought in a million years that i would be dealing with cancer, but I have learned so much on someone having cancer. I met Kitten0385, with lots of laughter, fun and advice oh how I miss her, and then Bill and Loretta Marshall whom i love dearly, but in the beginning I just didn't like some of his answers, but he was great, and then somehow I started selling BIG GIRL PANTIES, and let everyone know "JUST PULL UP YOUR BIG GIRL PANTIES" and move on. I never thought I would make it this far, but I did.
We lost a few on this site to this ugly disease we call cancer, Wildgoose, Kitten, Roy, and some I don't know, now they are in heaven watching over us, and looking over the ones still suffering with cancer. We never know when GOD is going to take us to his place called home.
Jeff is doing really good, he still has his good days and bad days, his ups and downs, but for everything that happened he is doing wonderful and living life to its fullest.
With all this being said :
Merry Christmas Happy New Year, for all the ones having surgery, had surgery, waiting on surgery and the ones that can't have surgery due to other problems, Keep your chin up and your big girl/boy underwear on, and have faith in all you do.
I wish everyone on this stie a very happy holiday and we are all here for some reason or another, to vent, cry, laugh or just wish a good luck, we all need to stick together and by cbyer friends so we all can get through this BUMP in the road of CANCER>
Happy Holidays
Jeff and Lori

Lori,
Isn't it funny the mix
Lori,
Isn't it funny the mix of happy & sad feelings we have on this site??? Not to lessen the importance, but I guess it is like the "sweet & salty" thing----it becomes a new entity when their mixed. I am so grateful for this site. But there have been times that I (like Lori) was scared to death!. So many other times, there was such a comfort offered here--it out weight the "scary" stuff... That being said, we have all learned from the scary stuff---we are no longer in the dark and have some sort of control over what we know about this disease.
We all will never be the same after our experience with EC--but we can make a difference in the lives of our loved ones with with EC.... We can also thoughtfully share with others here and help them as well. Funny thing is---We also then help ourselves! That is how I think it is meant to be---all of us caring about the other....
I just have to say "DITTO LORI-AKA Moe"!!!
Merry Christmas to all---even to the ones that don't feel it is too "Merry"---maybe there will be a flicker of happiness on that day...
