Please don't let the pain be unbearable. Ask for pain meds. Let them know how you feel so they can help you. I am saying prayers for you and hope that you will feel better soon and be back home soon too. Congrats on the CT scan.0 -

I'm sorry to hear you have to go through this, a liver abcess does sound painful, I've never experienced that, but hope they get it cleared up soon, and they should be doing something to control your pain at least! no one should have to suffer. They do have Pain and Pallative clinics with doctors that specialize in controlling pain, so please don't hesitate to ask the onc for them. I do believe each hospital has them. They were a blessing for me, when the admitting doctor wouldn't up my dosage for all this pain I was in during a blockage, they then came in, and saw me, and gave me a pain pump, and everything, with great meds. Dilaudin really worked well for me.
I hope you feel better by the holidays, and you'll be in my prayers, positive vibes your way!
Hugsss!

My husband had to postpone
My husband had to postpone chemo twice for abcesses after his colon surgery. He is now having a staged liver resection starting this Monday after 6 rounds of FOLFOX. It is hard to see it now but this is a bump in the road that you are traveling on and the road will eventually take you where you need to go!0 -
I am thinking of you! I
I am thinking of you! I hope you get rid of the pain & the abscess ASAP! I haven't had a liver abscess but I have had two in my colon (the 2nd was when they diagnosed my cancer). I also totally understand the love/hate thing with chemo! I have been delayed twice (I am on folfiri + avastin) & the 1st time I was delayed I was like "what? me? Can you please check those results again?" I was delayed about a week & then I was able to have it. When I had my CT scan the chemo had worked really well; I am hoping for the same for you!0
