Bad news.....and GREAT news
But my CA125 is 53.9, which I know is still high, but pre-surgery it was 4000, and before any chemo, it was 2200.
My family is overjoyed and I hate to burst their bubble, but I know the real test is still to come: will the numbers stay down after the 6 chemo sessions are completed, and what will the CT scan show.
Still and all, this is movement in the right direction and I will take whatever encouragement I can get at this point.
Peace and love to you all.

Great drop in CA125
This is a great drop in the CA125. How many chemos have you had since the surgery? I am taking an iron supplement from the Health food store cause "Energizing Iron" which is supposed to be easily absorbed.
I have had good results with it and my RBC's always come back to near normal. I did have to have a transfusion after surgery and I really felt better right away. You will be amazed at this. Saundra0 -

I have had 3 sessions of chemo since my surgery, and the plan is that I will get 3 more. I am getting the standard carbo/taxol combo.0 -
great drop in CA 125
I am a nurse and my mother just started her fist round of chemo yesterday with taxol/carboplaten combination and had allergic reaction to carboplaten when it was half way done. Her ca 125 was 1422 and it's good to hear this number can go down. Good luck with the rest of your treatment.0 -

Your numbers are great!!!! The blood count always goes down..Mom had 2 transfusions the other day and it helped a lot. Her CA-125 after 3 chemos, surgery and 2 more chemos is 168....I am soo envious..Congratulations!!!!0
