Hi all,
Brief history, I am a 6 yr Stage IV colon cancer survivor, my husband dx last July 2008 with colon cancer took 5FU and oxilaplatin had Pet showed spot on his liver had a liver resection in April. Next scan was clear. Pet/CT in oct was clear except for some small spots on lungs, that now have grown a little on this past cat scan, but never lit up on the PET and also his CEA is 0.6 his blood count is normal... Dr. said today she wants him to start chemo right after Christmas every two weeks, and then scan in 6 wks to see if the spots disappear from his lungs... whew.. what a roller coaster ride this has been with him.. he only had one lymph node that was positive when he had his original tumor, and chemo was only supposed to be a precaution.. well thank goodness he took it.!! I was wondering if anyone is on this treatment now and how they are doing? I know there are some, just don't rem who they are. The nurse said today that Campostar will make you loose your hair? And diarreah is a bad side effect., if anyone has any info please let me know.. thanks.
