almost 7 yrs - sharing some good news
When I was diagnosed, my two sons were ages 10 and 12. My biggest wish during the past 7 years was that I would survive long enough to get them both through high school -- and on to college (or whatever path they chose to follow).
Well, my eldest is now in his first year of college. And, my youngest is in his last year of high school. Yesterday (here comes the share-the-joy and celebration part) he was offered a place at art college (his chosen path). Yea. I'm going to make it! I have survived to see my biggest wish come true.
Meanwhile -- I'm gonna need to set some new wishes!! Dance at their weddings? Bounce their babies on my knee? Climb Mt. Everest? This is going to be fun.....:)
Sending best wishes that you, too, are seeing some of your dreams come true....
Tara

Tara, that's beautiful! I'm so glad for you!!! I'm a grandmother of 3, so I think you should definitely shoot for bouncing their babies on your knees.
Stay healthy as you are today!!!
*hugs*

Great story Tara!!
I am Stage 4, and those are my biggest wishes, that my liver holds out for a long time, I Know it doesn't, and it's disheartening for me, but I just want to watch my kids grow up out of school, get married and have children, like everyone else with kids. It's the only thing I want in the world.
Hugsss!

great news
Hi Tara,
It's great to see your post. I can completely relate to it. My youngest daughter was 12 when I was diagnosed 5 and 1/2 years ago and will graduate high school this coming June. It was also my wish to be here to see her graduate and I will be there to see it. Like you I have to come up with some new wishes.
I hope you come up with some fabulous new wishes and that your scans next week are clear!
Anything is possible!
Take care,
Jamie
