thanks again for the replies., and yes, I am trying to get him to drink as much as possible. I do not like the doctors either who use these stats, it is very discouraging so I try to not listen to them. I think everyone is an individual and that chemo affects everyone differently. I am trying to stay positive as much as I can, we just found out about this cancer less than two months ago and it really came out of the blue. We are all on shock still and I know that for my husband, he is definately still in shock. One of the biggest problems here is that he saw his father go through colon cancer about 28 years ago and cannot get that out of his mind. he lost his father to cancer but I keep telling him that chemo is diferent now and that he has a different cancer to deal with. I think that these past images of his dad is weighing heavy on his mind. I hope and pray everyday that he will remain with us for a long time and that this new regimen will work. thanks again for all the well wishes, I am so glad that I found this website.
