Just want you all to know
I have only been posting here since the weekend. I have told a number of my family and friends how excited I am to have found a supportive, caring, compassionate, sharing and sincere group of people to communicate with. I will be honest some of them "just don't get it". I don't really expect that they would. That is ok, they don't need to. You are examples of how great our society could be if we would all treat one another with dignity, respect and love. Blessings to all of you.

We Thank You
Hi Joanne
Just going to bed and looking around to see who's on and what's up?
Thank you for your nice comments - we certainly are proud to have you among us and look forward to getting to know more of you...thanks for reading up on some of my old posts, you know a little bit about me now.
I was working on your Christmas package tonight and should have it ready to ship out tomorrow, so you better not pout, you better not cry and I'll tell you why - Santa Craig is coming to town
This is a great place and a wonderful community - I've never known people like this in my life, simply the best ever - so much warmth, love, and friendship, that it's so contaigous.
I echoed your sentiments somewhat in my last post - how if the world were like we were, then what a world we could build!
Goodnight and it was nice meeting you the other day - and thank you for writing and getting in on the project - can't wait to hear what you think!

Joanne - Here's the rope
As we say, it's nice to meet you, sorry it had to be here.
This is a very supportive group. These people have pulled me through some pretty tough times and I just hope I can do the same for others. Right after I joined, we had a "rope" to hang onto. Buzzard was the anchor and anyone who needed it was tossed the rope and tugged through their current problems. So, I am tossing the rope to you today. Hang on tight becuase it's a wild ride, but you will make it.
Many hugs, Vicki0 -

I feel the same about the group. It has brought me so much comfort, information, a place to feel safe. A friend of mine was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and I'm hoping she will join their dicussion group as well.0 -

This is one heck of a wonderful family Joann, and so glad you joined us, we accept and love anyone, It's nice to meet you, and hope you stick around awhile. My other family knows about this other family on the board and love it as well. I've even had my daughter posting on here when something goes wrong with me. She finds it helpful as well.

Wow
Wow, you guys were up late last night. I echo all of the above. After George's diagnosis I was in a very deep fog, almost like a death cloud over the house. Sounds crazy. But, after I found this site, and read a lot of old posts, I realized there are many people in the same boat as we were and they were not drowning. Now, we think about the cancer but we don't live it, we don't talk about it constantly. We take each doctor vist, chemo, etc. one day at a time, one babystep at a time. We are no fools, we know we are in the fight of our lives. Right now, chemo working, scans show no new growth, many mets have disappeared and the large ones showed "substantial reduction" so we took that and celebrated. Tina0 -

It is a name George came up with for his e-mail account so I just went with it. As an aside, I know you have a large family, and I come from a large family, anyway, you sound like a real people person and you would have loved Thanksgiving at my niece's this year, turns out everyone showed up, both sides of family, and there were around 84, even Santa came for the kids. After the good scan results we got, it truly was a good Thanksgiving - Tina0 -
Thankis
Thank you for your kind words. We will welcome you with open arms - just sorry you had to find us here. I found out December 1, 2008 that I had cancer so it has been a year for me and I am so thankful that I found this site as everyone is so warm, giving, and just a great part of emotional support that you can't get from your own family and friends. You are right "some just don't get it" nor will they. Even my husband has watched me going through this, he can still walk away and go golfing and not think about it for a couple hours while I still think about it. It's not as mind consuming as it was and does get better but just hang in there. We are here if you need us.

Wow!! what a large family you have! we had Thanksgiving at my hubby's aunts, who had maybe only 20, but it was nice, and fun with the kids and all, they like seeing their cousins. And yes, I do love people, I'm not shy, I'll talk to anyone, you should see me anywhere, I even talk to these men who were looking for certain things on their shopping lists at a store, and had to direct them where to go LOL...I know my Walmart like the back of my hand LOL..That's so cool Santa even came for the kids

and I grabbed it also and have been holding onto it ever since....the rope to me is a symbol that best describes the people that carried me along while I was going through the exact same emotions that everyone who joins our club goes through. It is a rope of Hope, Guidance, and Faith that things will work out the best they can for anyone in here as well for anyone out there that knows not of our "club"...It is simply a band of people and families that live in a website community and share the same feelings that anyone coming in here has that need stability on their mindset. The rope tends to provide that stability or at least a symbol of it by giving an outreach for people in need..."Grab the rope and hold on"..is simply ."Grasp the mutual admiration that each of us have for one another in an effort to calm the reality and aid in an easier journey for one another".....and its certainly good to know that your another one with the same feeling for mankind that most all here share......Thank You and Welcome to a club no one wants to join but everyone here is certainly glad they did...Love and Hope, Clift0
