Good News
Adrian,
I am so happy things are going well for John. Tell him another colostomate is here for him. My ostomy surgery was three weeks ago yesterday and I am back at it now. My stoma started working right away also, then it stopped for a few days, but got right back on track. Now it is if I have always had this. My life is so much better now and John's will be also.
Don't let him skimp on the pain meds! When you are in pain, you do not heal as well or as quickly. Push the button. The nurses told me I wasn't using enough meds and not to be a martyr, I wasn't helping myself. I am still on Vicodin, but have reduced the amount quite a lot.
Good luck and many hugs! Vicki0
