I go in tomorrow for my scan results from Fiday's scan. This will tell me whats going on with my cea levels rising. I am so scared and have much anxiety. I got the cea results before Thanksgiving, scan on black Friday and went for a mammogram today. Tomorrow is scheduled chemo so, after reslults I have to go get chemo and don't know if it will be a new regimen. If so it will be Ironetecan (spelling ?) I know this causes hair to fall out and I am feeling pretty blue about that. My kids will be so freaked out about that and I know they will get use to it but it just sucks ya know. Feeling a little sorry for myself today I guess. Needed to vent thanks for listening. God Bless, Patti

I Had....
Long, thick hair, but I didn't go bald, my onc said I wouldn't, and I sure didn't, so you shouldn't, you will lose hair, don't be afraid, it actually looks like I didn't lose alot, I just know I did, because I could feel a coolness in my scalp, it's not as heavy feeling as it was, but it does grow back, it's hair, and we all love our hair and hate to lose it, but your kids will realize it is to save your life, and my kids didn't mind it getting so thin at all, but they didn't want me to shave my head, which I didn't, but I was prepared to get wigs if my hair did fall out, because I know it would scare my 9 year old son seeing me bald, but I would have to ease him into it slowly, where he could get used to it.
I wish you luck on your scans Patti, and hope everything is ok! You will be in my prayers!!
Hugsss!!

My KS
Hi Patti
I've got something coming to you very soon that I hope will let you know how important that you are to me...just a little something for the holidays to help brighten your spirits!
I hate seeing you worry, but I certainly understand your feelings. I am praying that this is nothing at all. If you do have to start a new chemo, many people are on that brand and if it helps you, that is a good thing if it keeps you going.
The War on Cancer is seldom won with the 1st battle - rather it takes perseverance and a strong resolve and a stubborn attitude to keep battling. You are in the middle of it right now and so things are hot & heavy - I look forward to the day when this is all behind you and is no longer a part of your life.
If anything I say makes any difference, know this...It's a pleasure knowing you and watching how far you have come in such a short time - and I value our relationship highly!
You are still living and that is enough for Today - please hang in there and I'm thinking of you during this holiday season and beyond...I love you, Patti
Take care for now...

I wish you the best with your scan results tomorrow. I will receive chemo tomorrow, as long as my bloodwork is ok. One of the drugs I get is irenotecan (sp). I have had 5 treatments so far, & I have had hair loss but have not lost it all & still hae not worn the wig I bought. Just know my thoughts are with you.0 -
