Masectomy 12/4

I am sending well wishes and good thoughts your way for today and tomorrow. Messed up about your insurance. It's not like a woman would ask to have a breast removed for no reason, really, get real insurance guys.
I too have inflammatory breast cancer. My first oncologist said chemo for a year twice a month, then surgery then we will see about more chemo and some radiation. May I ask how long you had chemo before you scheduled you mastectomy?
Again, all of my family is thinking of you. I keep them informed of what some of the women on this board are going through.
Good News for me and hopefully, you too. Yesterday I asked my doctor about something in the future and his answer was: "No, I think I can cure this thing." I was speechless. Boy do I love this Oncologist. The first one was awful, so I moved in with family and have an Oncologist in the West Covina area if anyone wants to change oncologist, I'll be happy to respond to any emails asking for his name and address. Good luck tomorrow Vicki. Lisa.
I am wishing you well.. I too was really scared and during that time and you were there for me giving encouraging words!! I will be praying for you!!!

Bless your heart sweetie, it is scary facing surgery, but you will do just fine. The tubes are light weight and can be pinned up to help get them a little out of the way. My sisters (3 of them) took me out to go play bingo a week after surgery, I was tired but at the same time it felt so good to laugh again and to boldly say I am cancer free. I waited along time to say that. You will have some discomfort but at the same time you will feel a real sense of freedom and be proud of how far you have come. You will know the term warrior because you have had to fight this. I didnt' bingo but still felt like a winner. We will all be praying for you, this surgery really is a beginning to an end. God Bless, Mary0 -

I just wanted you to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I haven't had my surgery yet so, I can really relate to the fear (and loss of control is a big one for me).Ask for what you need, if it's more pain medication, anti-anxiety med for tonight, somebody to clean the toilet, hugs or ANYTHING----just ask. The people around you want to help you through this and are glad to be given a task. It's all about you right now! Best of everything,

Vicki:
You and I are on nearly the same surgery schedule. I had bilateral on Tues. 12/1. The drains are a bit of a pain, as is sleeping on your back, but other that these problems the after surgery issues don't seem too bad.
I'm no expert, but feel free to PM me with any questions.
Heal quickly!
