I just checked my file....I was officially diagnosed with cancer on November 26, 2004....and given 6 MONTHS to live!!!!!!!
THAT means that tomorrow, Thanksgiving Day, I will be 5 YEARS since diagnosis!!!!!!!
Yes, it's true, now that was my first (rectal cancer) and, my second (breast cancer) is coming in July, 2010.
I am dancing and dancing and dancing!!!! I used to see others' posts to this remarkable day, and really didn't expect to see it....but, I can say now to you all....don't give up, as much as it seems so unbearable. I never even considered losing to be one of my options...I still had so much to do in my life. If you all remember, my favorite saying is by Winston Churchill "If you are going thru H E L L, don't stop!!!!!".
I know it seems unattainable while in the thick of the battle, but I wish all of you a happy, long life!!!
HUGS to all you dear semi-colons!, Kathi

Congratulations on your
Congratulations on your sucesses! You have really done well! When you said you never even considered losing as one of your options, it reminds of what my surgeon said on my second appt. with him; he said "you have to keep telling yourself that failure is not an option". This is what I do whenever I feel down.
Keep on enjoying! -
