I have Triple negative with invasive poorly differentiated ductal carcenoma. Have the chemo schedule set but have a question. Will be following up Tuesday before my first chemo with asking the Doc but don't have the patience to wait till then. : )

Did you have radiation treatment? I am trying to figure out a timeline. Right now I know I am doing 3 week X 4 cycles of Docetaxel And Bevacizumab by IV with Capecitabine bid. Then surgery. Thane finish up with 3 week X 4 of (A?C) doxorubicin/cyclophoshamide. They haven't said how much radiation. They keep saying I will be busy for the next year but will it really be all of 2010?

    Don't have the answers for
Don't have the answers for you Vicki, but someone will be able to let you know from their experience. All I know is that when you have a lumpectomy you will probably have to have radiation. Sometimes you don't after a masectomy but again there are many ways to conquer the beast. Hope you get your answer soon. Love, Sunrae

    Just wishing you good luck
Just wishing you good luck Vicki. Usually rads follow chemo treatment and the amount of rads one has varies. Good luck.

    I had 33 rads--the standard
I had 33 rads--the standard in my area. I went every weekday at the same time (after work).
The drive (45 mn.) was the worst, but I am glad to have it over with. I didn't miss any days, but they were flexible on the time of day that I could come. Be sure to get plenty of rest now, during rads, & after.

    hi your chemo sounds alot
hi your chemo sounds alot like mine, except will be 3 treatments every weeks of docetaxol and bevacizumab , followed by fec for 3 cycles , 1 month break then 25 radiation treatments (5x week for 5 weeks) I have already had lumpectomy..... so they are looking at me finishing up everything sometime in may or june 2010.. but the bevacizumab (herceptin) will be given every 3 weeks for 1 year so this will bring me to Nov 2010...so this is I guess 1 year from now ... I worked full time before all this and I am more tired right now from appts, surgery etc but then I think" It will be next year before I know it , we can keep each other going!! the woman on here are sooo amzing this is what got me thru alot so far... good luck to you I start chemo nov 25th when do you start??? (hugs) ...lisa

Have to talk to your doctor
I was DX Nov 9 as a triple negative. I'll have a lumpectomy Nov. 30 followed by brachytherapy, then chemotherapy. If for some reason the lymph shows cancer I'll have chemo first(no clue what kind yet) then 33 radiation treatments.
