took reaction to taxol

broke out with hives in chemo, but they were great fixed me up fast, only 2 more chemo left

Congrats on 2 left! I had taxol and on my third infusion, had a really severe reaction. I couldnt breathe, all the blood rushed to my face and my throat started to close. I was pumped with more benadryl and continued the taxolat a slower pace. It was really scary. I'm glad your reaction wasn't as bad. It's a strong drug.

I reacted, too....but it was more respiratory....
So, they did and extra hydration after infusion, and slowed the whole process down...so, 2 hydrations per infusion...it was 5-6 hours for each session, but it sure made a difference!

I have had 3 taxol so far of
I have had 3 taxol so far of 12. no reactions so far, get benadryl before treatment. it does seem sooooolong. bout I had a hard time with AC so will take the slower route. I still get diahrea My IV got a benadryl reaction and the site was all red and hurt, did better after decadron but they put anew one in for taxol did not want a problem. I am noticing how much i drink I have cotton mouth always dry is this from taxol?

I had a reaction of pressure on heart and they had to slow the drip.
