Pathology report

I have not posted since I came home from surgery and wanted to let everyone know the latest. I don't think we could have had a better pathology report. When the pathologist calls the surgeon to verify the specimen was correct and the surgeon assures him it is, you know its good. The pathologist found no evidence of cancer in the specimen and the original spot of the tumor only held scar tissue. That was one of those kick **** kinda moments. I am now gearing up for my cleanup chemo that starts in December. WOOHOO!

    good news
    i am glad you got good news we always like to hear it.did you have any lymph nodes taken out.i am just asking because my surgen had stressed to me that since i had 5 nodes out of 10 come back with cancer cells that i really needed to have chemo.i thought you only had to do chemo if the pathologist report came back showing signs of caancer cells.good luck to you and Godbless...johnnybegood

    Out of 10 zero came back positive. The chemo is to help reduce the chance of recurrence to a smaller percentage.
