Tumor Markers

I have terminal GI and bladder cancer. I had surgery and have just completed 8 months of chemo, gemcitabine, carboplatin and erbitux. My tumor markers have decreased all through my chemo treatments. This week (after my last chemo) I had new tumor markers and a PET scan. My ovarian, pancreatic and GI markers have all increased (CEA from 5 to 20, CA 125 from 30 to 865 and CA 119 from 200 to 6992)but the PET scan looks wonderful. What is going on? I've heard that some physicians don't have much faith in the markers but I've been basing all my hopes on the decreasing markers.
