I received a letter from Jerry today. Holly passed away on Sunday Nov 8th at 10pm. Jerry was right beside her holding her hand. Holly had spent the last 9 days at the Joliet area hospice home. Jerry was by her side with the exception of a few breaks when the oldest daughter or other family members took over. Jerry is trying to learn how to use a computer, so learning about e-mail and all her contacts is a bit hard.
Holly was such a special person in my life. We shared our love of the outdoors and children together. Her will to keep fighting was truly amazing. She appreciated each day she was here. My prayers go out to Jerry and the children along with their entire family. Holly will be in my heart and prayers the rest of my life. Slickwilly

    Thank you Slickster for letting us all know of Holly's passing. She touched the lives of so many on this site with her positive and caring attitude and we will all miss her greatly.

    Like you Slick she truly made an impact on me in this battle with cancer and in other life situations her and I shared, she was just so giving even when she herself was hurting and undergoing such stressful times.

    Thanks again for letting us all know Slick, we were all anticipating this news I think but at the same time always holding out that little bit of hope.

    She is home now and I am sure she is up there supporting other angels.

    My sympathies to Holly's family and all those who knew and loved her as we did and always will.

    I am so sorry for your loss, hollyberry will be dearly missed by me and i know others too. The tears are just rolling right now, My prayers go out to the family .Goodbye holly.

    So sad hearing we lost another to the battle. Hollyberry will be missed. I will keep the family in my prayers :(

    I keep popping in here looking for an update on Holly, I guess I was holding out for that thread of hope. I too found Holly to be a star in this battle so many of us have fought. I love her humor and her caring ways, Holly was indeed special and to know she is gone is to know the world is a little less bright.

    I will indeed miss you Hollyberry and am greatful for the time I was blessed with knowing you. Until the day we meet in Heaven I will hold you in my heart.
