Michelle I think it is so wonderful that you have remained with this forum after what you have been through. I am always so happy to see you post and sometimes I wonder how you have stayed so strong.
In Canada we have Remembrance Day and this morning at 11 there will be a service for fallen soldiers at the city cenotaph. I will think of Angel at that time and all the brave soldiers who have given their lives.
Best Wishes to all

I feel blessed to still have Michelle here, and Angel still around, of course with wings now!
I am truly thankful for the vets who gave their lives to set us free, and hope everyone has a great Veterans Day, get a poppy, and wear it with pride
Hugsss!

Canada Remembers...
Thanks for starting this "thread of remembrance" Michelle...
Today is a holiday in Canada. We take this time to remember all who have served, and who continue to serve; all who have died, and continue to die. We pray for their peace, and for ours.
My small token of remembrance is here... http://rob-pollock.blogspot.com/
There is a link to a beautiful musical blessing on the departed souls (Give Rest) at the end of the post.
Lest we forget... Rob; in Vancouver
"Give rest unto your servants with your saints O God,
Give rest, Give rest.
Where there is neither pain nor sorrow
Neither sighing but life everlasting."0 -

Veterans Day
Michelle,
I'm so glad you posted this. Angel and all of our service people are to be remembered and thanked. **** is a retired Marine and I must say the people he served with have been amazing during our cancer journey. **** flew with the Black Sheep squadron back in the '80's. The squadron is now deployed to Afganistan. They found out about ****'s cancer and yesterday an amazing care package arrived, from Afganistan. They sent Black Sheep T-shirts, patches, pins and a ball cap. There was also an American flag that had been flown in one of their airplanes during a mission. The certificate with it said the flight had been flown in honor of ****. He was so moved by these Marines.
God Bless those who choose to serve our country in the Armed Forces.
Aloha,
Kathleen
PS - Since I teach kindergarten I was talking to my students about Veterans Day on Monday. All of them thought it was Veterinarian Day (the animal doc). I explained that no, it was Veterans Day and we read some books about Moms and Dads who serve in the Military. We then made thank you cards and I delivered the cards to the Marine Corp Base yesterday. I hope those hard working marines like the cards.0 -

Were you in the service? Which one and what did you do? I was in the Navy for 24 years. Great photo, by the way.0 -

Air Force. Command post, kept track of all the birds in the air...........
I worked in CIC on carriers and flew o in those mini-AWACS, which were called "Fudds" in those days, or screwtops./Good for you. Being a former Zoomie, I suppose your golf game improved a lot in the USAF. Sorry, a running joke I have with an F16 instructor and a SOG pilot. We are always at it hammer and tong about Navy vs. the Flying Golf Corps.0
