This is really a great group
This is really a great group of folks, huh? I'm telling you, no matter how many family members or friends you have...they just don't seem to understand like the people here! Well, that's been my experience anyway. They say they understand and want to 'be there for you', but I really think it makes people uncomfortable or something. I don't know...I'm starting to ramble. Anyway, thank you right back for your support too! :-)

can say about anything to another cancer patient because both of them are fully aware of what each goes or went through, so the simple fact is the mutual feeling is felt. A person that has not traveled down the path is unsure what to say, they want to be there for you but really have no idea how to go about telling you. I think for family members and friends that really care the best thing is to let them know that they are able to say anything they want openly and show any emotion they want openly , they then feel a helpful feeling instead of a helpless one and it allows them to be at ease again around their cancer stricken friends...0 -

That's sweet - and exactly how I felt. But Buzzard couldn't have said it any better - unless you are going through it you don't know what to say, or are afraid so just don't say anything. We here tell it like it is - the good, the bad, and the ugly....0 -
You got me too!!

It's VERY hard to reply to one of us that "You just don't understand!"
I had many wonderful, strong people to light my way during my journey, to give me hugs, or scold me when I was being a bit too full of myself...sadly, many of those faces are but memories to us...
We MUST fight this devil together...my hope is that someday this menace will be banished!
Hugs, Kathi0
