Hi-Wondering if anyone on here also has their CA 125 checked? My sister dx 03/09 mets to liver, ovaries and peritoneum. Ovaries removed and colon resection during emergency surgery. Was on Erbitux and 5FU now on Avastin and 5FU. Numbers went up but the CEA really sky rocketed. One specialist thought to have the tissue re-tested to see if it is ovarian cancer. We are waiting the results.

    elevated CA125 test
It is just one blood test that shows inflammation somewhere in the body. I had that with my colon disease(it burst). That all was a prelog to my Anal cancer. Anyway can your sister get a PET scan. Cancer really lights up and in color too! How is her CD4 or CD8 counts? These are other tests which speak to the body's immune system. My thoughts are with you all.
