Surgery on Monday

Hi All,

Please keep my husband in your prayers. He is going into surgery at 7:30am EST on Monday for a right hemi-colectomy. He feels good and has a great attitude - ready to get the surgery over with and move onto whatever treatment will happen next.

I want to thank all of you for welcoming me to this board several weeks ago. You have all been fantastic and such a great source of information, support and encouragement. I pray for every person on this board everyday.

I will check in over the next few days and let you know how everything is going.

    I want you to if you can find the CD from the group "Anointed" and find the song "Drink From This Water"....and play it together several times..I think the both of you will realize the calming effect that it will have on you both. I have found that certain music has that effect on me to where nothing can bother me. My music is my escape and if you can't find it let me know. One more thing, Greg is certainly a lucky man to have you as a caregiver...Find the song, you'll both be rewarded for it...and much love to you both, Clift

    good luck to you and your husband. Keep your chin up. I have just joined this site and have had very helpful responses already. I will keep you in my prayers. I too, am headed for surgery on the 24th. Again best of luck to you and your husband. Pat

    Surgery
    My prayers and thoughts are with your husband and you as he goes through surgery. We do both have one thing in common, as I am going in for surgery on Monday at 7:30 too. I hope that your husband has a speedy recovery and wish him the very best outcome. Please keep us posted to let us know how he is doing.

    Wishing your husband the best of luck and a speedy recovery...I wanted to say remember to take care of yourself also..Caregivers are so important and play a HUGE roll in our lives it isn't always easy. But just know we are all grateful for our caregivers cause we couldn't have gone throguh all of this with out them.......JULIE
