    Good to know
Good to know, I am scheduled for next Tuesday at 7:30 a.m., have to be there by 6:30 a.m. Got a different prep this time, need to mix Miralax with 2 - 32 ounce Gatorade. No orange, red or purple so I picked up the Lemonade Gatorade. This has got to be better than the prescription crap I had 5 years ago and the stuff hubby had to drink before his colon resection.

    Geotina:Colonoscopy
Supposedly the earlier you take scan after drinking prep the clearer the results and the earlier in the day, the less fatigue of doctors/assistants and possibility of errors. But if you think about it, the second reason should apply to all medical procedures, in which case no one would want to be scheduled late afternoon. I had my colonoscopy at 12:30 PM and my colostomy at 9:00 AM (not same day of course!!!!) In fact, surgeon took himself a minivaction for my operation so he was well-rested.Anyway, I subscribe to numerous medical newsletters and this report was noted today.hope you get good results from your colonoscopy...(PS:also recently had problem with port like yourself, which delayed start of second round of chemo till next Wed and just had PICC put in ).....Steve

    miralax
is SO much better than the crap years ago! but I did mix mine with orange, they just told me no red or purple. Anyway, it wasn't bad. I also had to take a dulcolax at noon the day before, start the miralax at 5, and then drink citrus something or other the morning of...it all worked like a charm, and then some...

    colonoscopy
I think they don't want you to drink red, orange or purple liquid or jello because it might show up in error as blood. My prep was half-Litely and I used pineapple flavor. By 7th glass or so heartburn would kick in real bad so I'd dalay a little the remainder. Wonder how future colonoscopies will be as they'll have to be via stoma.....Steve
