Got thru tx #8
I really have had very few side effect from the Folifox - hand sensation with cold - does resolve after 7-10 days...fatigue does occur day 3-6...do have to receive neulasa (boy is that cost a sticker shock - $3,200 for one dose...thank goodness for insurance!
I suggest hydrating and eating frequent meals during these rounds of chemo - I drink 2 liters + of water every day - eat crackers, cheese, I have tried the juicing with veggies - struggle with the taste - but the fruit juicing works for me.
Keep up the FIGHT and your treatments - I never thought I would get to #8...and it is possible!
love to all!

Hi Michelle,it sounds pretty
Hi Michelle,it sounds pretty good and you manage the side effects very well.Good luck with the rest of the treatment.Take care.0 -
Wonderful
Wonderful that you made it through the eight treatments with little side effects. That was what I was on and that oxy is rough stuff. You are very fortunate. Glad that you get that two month break from chemo. This is probably the best time of the year to do it too with all the Holidays coming up. I had to take the neupogen shots and they were expensive too but that was a daily injection. The water is very important. I can't do the juicing thing, I like to taste my flavors separately and not all mixed together. Good luck with the upcoming radiation treatments.

Jeff,
I will have 4 more rounds of Chemo - but not until Radiation is complete - so mid Jan and Feb for the additional 4 rounds of Folfox....I am looking forward to the break from Oxi...it is not my favorite - I am also looking forward to sending the back pack for the 5-fu away for 2 months and not have to look at it!
Hope you are doing well with treatments!0 -
