trouble with port

Laurissa sorry to hear your port is acting up,I will take you friday to hospital to have this checked out,if you need me to..Let me know.Hope you dont have to have it replaced So glad your feeling well otherwise?? has anyone else had trouble with their port??

    Yes, you can take me tomorrow. I'm feeling pretty good this morning, no pain to speak of from shot. Taking ibuprofen is all. See you today.

    Loving my port
    Had 1st chemo yesterday and having the port was great. I have had so much trouble with tests and simple blood draws. Veins collapsing and canceling and redoing tests because of veins. The port worked beautifully yesterday. I missed you post Laurissa what is happening with your port. I am sorry to hear you are having trouble with it. I hope you get it straightened out tomorrow.

    My port doesn't allow blood
    My port doesn't allow blood to be drawn out and it takes the meds too slowly. There's probably a kink in it. I really don't want them to cut me again to fix it. It was painful and slow healing for me when they put it in. Since I'm only on Cytoxan and Taxotere, they said I could just use an IV for that. These are not as bad on the veins as others.

    My veins just can't do anything. I am hoping the IV works for you to avoid having to do anything with the port. My port bugged me for 10 days when the first put it in and then one day voila not so bad. If they do need to fix it my prayer will be that it much better this go around and works beautifully when you need it. You are right ahead of me in this treatment process I am cheering you all the way. Take Care
