HI EVERYONE I HAVENT BEEN ON FOR ABOUT 9 MONTHS. SOME OF YOU MAY REMEMBER MY STORY. MY 83 DAD HAS RECTUM CANCER. LAST YEAR AROUND THIS TIME HE DID RADATION AND CHEMO. THE TUMOR SHRUNK AND HE DID WELL WITH TREATMENT. HE HAS SINCE THEN WENT FOR TEST EVERY 3 MOS AND UP TILL NOW HAS NO SIGN OF CANCER CELLS UNTIL YESTERDAY. YES THE CANCER HAS COME BACK IN THE AREA. I HAVENT STOPPED CRYING. HE HAS DONE SO WELL SO FAR AND LIFE WAS GOOD. EVEN THOUGH WE KNEW WE HAD A 50 50 CHANCE OF IT COMING BACK. THE DOCTOR WANTS TO DO SURGEREY. WE ARE LEAVING IT UP TO MY DAD. HE IS A VERY ACTIVE MAN AND I KNOW HE IS NOT CRAZY ABOUT WEARING A COLORECTAL BAG. PLEASE ANY ADVICE OR WORDS OF WISDOM WOULD HELP ME. I LOVE MY DAD AND DONT WANT TO LOSE HIM. HE HAS A LOVING FAMILY THAT WILL BE BY HIS SIDE ALL THE WAY. THANK YOU ALL AND GOD BLESS...LISA

    Praying for you
You can love him and support him whatever he decides, but I do hope he'll go with surgery.

    *hugs*
