The reason they may want to wiat to make 100% sure is the risks involved with radition and/or chemo. It sometimes does damage to the healthy tissue as well as the bad(cancer).
the risk of a collapse lung is very real, I know I suffered one, but it was not as bad I feared. I have similar problems as your husband, but they first need to make sure of what their fighting to be able to treat him properly.
I realize that wiating for answers is hard, but if it makes the treatment process the correct one for his disease then it is worth it. It is better that they get it right then do more damage.
if you read my bio you will understand why I say we have some of the same issues, and I hope that you can find the right answers.
A positive attitude and support are very important in this struggle and cherishing the time we have creating memories is alot more impotant that worring about thing we can't control.

Thank you so much for your answer. It makes since I guess I just needed to hear it from someone else. My husband will be 54 on Saturday and we have been married for 32 years. I try not to let him see my fears. He has a great attitude and I know I need to work on mine. I will read your bio and thanks again. Prayer is the only thing we can do at this point thank you again. I will pray for you and your family as well.
